Hey Mark,
Actually saw this being used at a Fashion show I shot last weekend. I didn't have a flash bracket at all so I had a hard time. I finally got this based on your photos and your personal reviews of the product.
So you and all Stroboframe VH2000 owners welcome me to your club
So now...........
How do you use this thing!?:D

I just noticed it has screws to adjust the height:confused:
Whats that about? has anyone had a problem with this?
can it be replaced with fashionable thumb screws?
Cheers~

Update on the product:
I took it home and tested it out with my 50mm 1.4 and 24-70mm f2.8
When using it with primes its not bad. Its compact and low key. However when you use it the 24-70mm f2.8 or any zoom lens its very very hard to zoom the lens. I also found that it gave some trouble fitting the 20D battery grip.
I concluded that the StroboFrame is a great light compact solution if your a prime type of person or don't use your 20D grip all that much. I can't afford to have two brackets so this one is going back to the store..I would have loved for it to work :(
Cheers~

sorry it took so long to get back to you . . . been out at work all day. sorry the VH2000 didn't work out for you.:( I used to use it with a battery grip (when i had a battery grip) and it had fit fine. Yep, the screws are the way to adjust the flip arm to accommodate for different size lenses. Yes, it's a little tedious, but you can't expect much from something that costs $69. Custom Brackets and Newton Brackets make similar products that cost a lot more. I guess you can replace them with thumb screws that you can buy at any Home Depot, Lowes or Sears. I always recommend this product as a cost-effective solution for someone looking for a rotating bracket. I hope you find something to fulfill your needs. :D

There you are BigMark:D
I would have loved to keep this one. Its just so compact and together. I looked at a picture of your set up with the XT and Grip. It seems like you have enough room below the lens to move the zoom ring. Thats not the case with the 20D and grip, additionally the screw at the bottom of the bracket is not long enought to penetrate the base of the 20D's grip to hold it like it should.
Im currently looking at the Stroboframe Pro T and Press T
Thanks BigMark
Continue taking excellent photos~

I have the VH2000 and use it with my 20D w/BG and 24-70L. Did you get the BE1 plate? If not that may be your problem. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=103039&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation

Ahhhhh!!!
Sounds good. But how do you deal with the clearance between the base of bracket and the lens?? I had to zoom from the top of the lens...
do you have a picture of your set up?
let me know okay :)

JJonsalt:
Don't you have trouble zooming your 24-70mm? thats the reason I took it back. Do you zoom from above rather than below?
Cheers

Still confused reading the threads...does the vh2000 work with the b/g on the eos 20d? and if so can someone please show me pic of the vh2000 in landscape and portrait mode. Many thanks. btw do you hold the camera or the bracket in portrait mode?

You hold the camera in portrait mode. But the bottom plate on the bracket is large and makes the vertical shutter release a pain to use.
