I am trying to get better at B&W conversions. Here is one of Scott Kelby's methods. What do you think?

I like them both. I kind of like the color one better except of the red by his mouth. On the other hand, the back lighting in the B&W outlines his face really well.

Very nice. The hat really becomes the focal point in the b/w version. Which one of Scott Kelby's techniques did you use? I use Lightness a lot, but his high contrast method and channel mixer both work very well.

Thanks. This was using the Lightness Channel. I figure I'll figure them out one at a time and move on. Should have a good Idea by the time I understand them all better.

The B&W is nice, but I kind of like the color version better. The yellow reflectors on the helet give it a nice pop.

I agree with the red near his mouth - slightly distrasting. I like the B&W version; there's just something about it.

I struggled with the effect of the Rig lights in the background and the effect on the outline of the face. At first I loved it, then hated it, loved it again. Indecision at its best.
