I have more that are similar, but this is my favorite of the bunch from this angle, will post more angles a little later when I am not ready for bed :)

that is a cool picture. what camera and lens did you use. Was it a full in flash to show details on the snowboarder? or was it a select and adjust curves?

either way it's still a very good picture

ultra wide?? I love the look but I guess it would be better without all those damn others skiiers/riders.

I lke this shot. The background people give an idea as to how high the jumper really is. The lighting is also great in this shot. TFS

Thanks for the comments, I used an old school full manual fisheye lens that I borrowed from one of the photographers I knew that was also at the event. I don't know what kind it was, just that it was russian.

No fill flash was used, the snowboarder came out pretty bright as it was with the way I metered it but I did do a selection of the snowboarder and brought the levels up in ps a little just to give him a little more pop.

Love the shot...

I would like to be able to see more detail in the person though...I like to see facial expresions and the like...

This is really marvelous ... I'm going to have to add a fisheye to my equipment wishlist, sigh!

It looks amazing. This is one sport I really want to shoot but don't have access to.
