View Full Version : 30D Set Button Floating?

I just recieved my 30D and I noticed the SET button in the center of the quick control dial was upside-down. I noticed that when I turn the dial sometimes the set button rotates, other times it does not... it seems as though the SET button is free-floating. Is this normal? I would think it would be locked to horizantal or possibly locked to the wheel, but to free float where I could pinch it with my nails and twist just the button doesn't seem right...

I know it's trivial... but it caught my attention as odd.

yes its normal on the 20D and i assume the 30d.

My 20D does the same thing. It's no big deal.

Sh*t, thought I new my camera pretty good, now I got to check this out. I never noticed if it moves or not but will know shortly.

Yep my 30D also does it. Seems normal to me. At first I too thought they put the button in wrong and then realized it moves.

It turns everytime you turn the big dial.

I never noticed if it moves or not but will know shortly.
