A couple of you were kind enough to offer feedback on my previous post so I went back and tried again. Don't be impressed by my dedication... this valve is about three feet behind my desk, in a closet off my office, so "going back" basically meant swiveling my chair. Anyway, I increased the depth of field so that the dial's face was sharper. The frustrating thing is that this closet is a maze of pipes so I can't move the camera around much to get a better angle.

Good show, I like the focus better on this one, however I like the tighter crop of the last shot (easily fixable on this one with a bit of a crop!)

I really like this one as well... interesting shot to begin with, but with the whole thing in focus, it really lets my eye do what it wants without stuff being unfocused.
