Youth baseball pictures

Here are a couple of pictures I am working on just wanted to get some thoughts on the concept and quality. These will be 8x10 prints. Comments welcome.

the B&W don't fit in either photo for me...the posed photo I would have him do something more than just stand there, maybe put the glove up next to his body and turn to the side slightly while still looking directly at the camera...also the text needs to be a bit more crisp...

photos are really good though, colors look good to me and got some good action...not to mention he has pretty much perfect form in everything...

I like the effect. Did you utilize a script for the framing?

Thanks for the comments. I agree the static poses are weak it was one of those shots that I did not have time to get him set up since he was just coming off the field but getting the glove in the shot would be a lot better. I need to set it up better next time.

Busbyea: I did not use a script for the borders just winged it.
