Well I decided to order this case despite being a sling. Holding a sling bag is still extremely weird for me, but it does the job better than anything else I saw out there.

I can't fit the hood on my 24-105 reversed while the lens is on, so I just waste a pocket by keeping it in there. When my other lens is on, the 24-105 fits in the same pocket as the hood. Memory cards, little items fit on the inside of the flap. Extra batteries, cloths, etc... all fit in an external pocket, or the big pocket on the left. (in the photo)

I can actually fit my G2 in that pocket comfortably as well. I carry my filters/macros in hard cases, and I like having my battery charger in my case as well when I travel, and with the addition of the hood, I am really wasting a lot of space. I leave my 35-80 f/5.6 at home. (no need anymore)

Someone else could easily get 3 or 4 lenses and one on the camera in the bag. The flash could go in the upper pocket, and the filters could go in a filter case to the side of the camera. Oh yeah, plenty of space on both sides of the camera for small stuff too. Very easy to pull this in and out! I love this case!

I use my Slingshot 200 with a 1DmkII with a 24-70L with the hood reversed, and the hood is much larger than for your 24-105. Simply make the channel a bit larger and the side compartments a bit smaller. See the second post on this page:

I've started eyeing this bag, looks like a winner. Thanks for the photos.

I like that I can hold a good amount of gear, but I am still getting use to carrying(wearing) it. However it does fit a 20D with grip and 24-70L attached(hood reversed), 50mm 1.4 (plus hood) and 85mm 1.8 (plus hood). I also can fit my 580ex and LSPJ II and still have plenty of room for a few more things. I wish that I could fit the 70-200 L, but oh well.

I've just purchased the 100. I felt that 200 was too big. It is somewhat larger than the 100, but the extra space would make me end up taking more. I use my shoulder bag for times when I want to bring more than three lenses.

In the 100 I can fit my 20D w/ Tamron 28-75mm+ hood reversed, 18-55mm, and my 85mm all in the main compartment. When I want to bring along a flash, I'll put my 580ex wher the 85 is and put the 85 in my external lens case which fits perfectly on any of the external slots. :)

Hmmm.. I just checked out the link at FM and I guess I could fit in the 70-200 and the 24-70 attached, but that would be about it, in the main compartment.

There would be space for a 50 1.4 without a hood, lots of depth for a flash, 1.4x TC etc. I can even fit a D60 in the top semi circular pocket.
But my advice is not to try and fill the bag up to overflowing. If it gets heavy it will distort since the foam padding is relatively light. This will make the bag harder to open/close and will stress out your one shoulder bearing all the weight on longer outings. If you need to carry more, get a backpack.

I have the 100 version of the Slingshot and I use it as my walkaround bag, holds my rebel xt and an extra piece of glass just fine. I really like it.

I am going to be buying this bag soon (looking on ebay now).

I have the XT, Tammy 28-75, Sig 75-300, 50 1.8, kenko ext. tubes, 380 EX flash that needs to go in it. I hope I have enough room.
