Hi all,

I've got the chance to join a trip to North-Eastern Siberia in January 2004, which will bring with it a few photograpic problems.

I would imagine that temperatures as low as -40F are beyond the working limits of the 10D, but was wondering if there was any way round this (insulating covers etc)?

Anybody out there with any experience of working in the cold? I would really welcome ANY advice on shooting in such conditions.

In the swedish photography magazine Foto there was an article about a girl that wanted to test DSLR on the Arctic sea, the camera that she used was the Canon EOS D60, the camera did manage the cold weather real good, just keep in mind to keep the batteries warm, she had two sets of batteries and shifted often. There was no problem to use a DSLR in this cold humid weather.
