held camera close to ground and trusted wide 10mm zoom to focus subject.
Male in the background keeps constant watch on the female whilst she feeds.

Its a very unorthodox bird shot

I like that angle as well. A bug's eye view of a goose. But if I were a bug, I'd be worried at the look in that goose's eye. :D

i like this also, though im wondering how you got so close without:
a: being chase and attacked
b: scaring the goose away

I did this once to a big bird and the bird pecked at the lens and nearly cracked the glass, but missed it. I have not tempted again.

Thanks for the warning, I wont be trying this again - maybe it will see its reflection in the glass and attack?
