I've been using the 10D now for a couple months and have been interested some of the other features that are available on the camera.

First of all, I just want to confirm one thing about "Setting Processing Parameters" (page 56 in the manual for those of you that want to follow along). Does this ONLY effect JPG images and does not effect the RAW image at all?

If that is the case, I would like to learn more about this feature. I sometimes shoot best quality JPEG when I think I might fill my CF cards before I get to computer. Also because I've been doing so much experimenting, RAW has just been too time consuming.

When shooting in JPEG, almost always have to adjust the contrast and sharpen. Doesn't it make more sense to adjust these setting so that you have a good chance that you don't save the JPEG again losing more information from the image?? Why when using Adobe setting does it not allow you to make these changes?

Thanks for any input for those of you that have experimented with this.

One up on the contrast and one up on the sharpening seems to improve the couple samples I just shot. In adobe photoshop, when I auto contrasted, it was hardly noticeable compared to standard settings.
