Little help with some falls

Here is a picture of Snoqualme Falls. I only cropped and resized. When I resize for this forum I see that I lose a lot more detail than others. Is there a way to prevent this, it almost looks like it is out of focus but if you take a look at the original you'll see that it is not. Thanks in advance.

Your resized image may simply be sufferring from resizing :lol: ,

a common issue when resizing Jpegs is the apparent loss of sharpness.

I always add a little USM to my "resized for Web" shots, it's basically a sharpening tool in Photoshop, whatever software you use it will have a sharpenning tool of some sort, have a play around with it on your resized shots and see if you get an improvement.
