I have a Canon 20D and was thinking of selling it for the 1D Mark 2 Body. Both are 8.0 Meg. bodies. Is there much of a difference in Quality between Them? Also, or is there another camera I can buy without Breaking The BANK? I would consider buying a Used One, Thank you, Dennis

Depends on what you're going to be doing with it. the 1D is a pro camera, but the 20D has many loyal followers. The 1d is a lot larger, heavier, etc. that might be a factor in your decision.

In a static shot the IQ will be slightly better with the 1D, but not a whole lot. Where the 1D is amazing is in the number of features it offers and the ability to get almost every shot, no matter what. If you need speed and a more rugged camera, the 1D series is the best way to go. They are spendy, but worth every single penny.

It really depends on what you want to do. What sort of photography you do, is the AF on the 20D sufficient for your purposes, etc. The 1D cameras will give you better AF, more rugged durability and weathersealing, much more control over the way that you take the image, and a better (imho) crop factor of 1.3. Another good thing is the much larger viewfinder, and it's brighter. Much more a treat, and makes viewing images a lot nicer. I'd personally really see if you need a 1D, if not, save your pennies and go for some quality L glass.

Biggest difference will be the UI, speed, AF. Also DoF will be different (with same FoV) due to crop factor 1.3 vs. 1.6. That will probabely be the only difference in the image (quality)
