Yes, the world is changing, and digital cameras are an example of disruptive technology (= a new invention that quickly and completely replaces existing technology).
Companies are forced to change their business if they want to survive. Some companies started too late. I especially don't understand why Kodak was so late with going digital. Everybody has a digital camera now, but people still want to have prints made. Kodak was very slow to jump on that opportunity.

Next time you copy and paste without linking to a source, at least cut out the bit saying what you did is illegal :D
Other than that...its an interesting article. All I can say is that I'm glad to be on the Canon bandwagon - it looks like our lenses etc won't be disapearing for a long time.

Seems like everyone is having problems keeping up with the changing world. What took 20 years to change before, takes 2 years now! edit: It's already been posted He's posted a link & quoted parts of the story, which would be OK except he left out the attribution. I suggest that you do the same. ;)
