What a day Saturday was, sun, hail, sleet, snow, wind, more sun, more hail....I really need a weather proof camera!

Was it worth it? Let me know!

Due to JPG compression they may seem a little soft. All taken on 350D with 17-85 IS lens, ND grad filter. :)

Very much so, I love all 3. Did you use a split nd filter to bring out the sky?

I used a Cokin ND grad - 2 stop. Some post processing for sharpness!

Glad you like.

Great work, I love the pictures but that is a very big stamp. I know that work needs protecting but small low res images are of little use to anyone and in all but the last of the pics, two mins in PS and the sig would disapear.

These are excellent pictures I like them very much.

The sig does detract (and is very easy to remove if required) but nice images :-)

Not sure whether to add the sig or not sometimes, copyright is a tricky thing and it's best to add a sig I say as these images are on my site.

Beautiful results for a hard days work. Whatever you get for them as posters, you deserve it. Great PP skill there too.

Thank everyone. The second was sot at f22 1.6 seconds!

Really need wipers on my lenses, quite alot of shot were unusable due to drops of rain on them...but I never go out then come back and think "Wish I hadn't bothered.." so it must be worth it, even for the fresh air!

Thanks for sharing those great shots. That lens is one of them that I've been considering as a walk around lens. Thanks again.

Thanks guys, I am having some 10"x15" prints done, can't wait to see these on paper!

YosemiteJunkie, the only thing I dislike so far with the lens is some CA, it doesn't handle it that well but it depends on the shot, I need to do more tests!

been wanting to get out my ND lately, but have had a house full of sick people (wife/kids), work and a bunch of little honey-do's. Am going on long weekend starting this Thursday at 2:00 p.m. Will be off for six days and I intend to get some spring flower shots. Hopefully will post some of them myself. The composition/lighting in all three shots is wonderful. Usually I pick a favorite from the group of pics, but I like all three equally as well. Keep up the good work.

The moral of this weekend was - Don't be disheartened by crap weather, go out and try your best, you might just get you best ever images and few others will cos they are sat indoors cleaning their lenses! :)

Absolutely gorgeous. Definitely worth the misery you may have had to endure so that I can see the shots comfortably at home :)

Totally worth the soggy, frozen tootsies, Neil. Those are some great shots, and should make some wonderful prints.

Great shots! You made excellent use of the weather. Got to get me an ND grad kit! :)

Nice to see the EF-S 17-85 lens featuring here. It seems to have a rather poor profile with some Canon users but I love mine and use it for landscapes about equally with my EF-S 10-22.

Beautiful shots, with #1 being my favorite. The only thing I'd like to see is more of the tree on the left, instead of being cut off so much. Also, #3 could be straightened just a tad.

As others have said, it was definitely worth the soggy trip! :D
