How do you post pics.

See http://photography-on-the.net/forum/help.php
The short of it is this:
(1) You need to put your pictures on some server somewhere on the web. Some ISP's (your internet provider) will give you space on a server as part of your service. I use my Apple "dot mac" account, since it is well integrated with my computer. (I'm not sure of your web experience, so please excuse me if this is too basic.)
(2) Once your pictures are on a server accessible to the world, type the address of a picture into your browser. This can actually be a little tricky, since you put pictures on a remote hard disk but it isn't always obvious what the "http://www.xxxx.com/xxxx" address is. For example, I put pictures on my "dot mac" account in a directory called /pwagner650/Sites/Yosemite/xxx.jpg and the web addrss turns out to be http://homepage.mac.com/pwagner650/xxx.jpg . Your experience is likely to be different but similarly confusing!
(3) Now you can post messages and include either an embedded image or a link to an image. An "embedded image" means that the image will appear directly in your posting (and people with slow connection will have to wait, patiently, for it to load); a "link" means they get a blue underlined piece of text that you can click on to visit your image in a new browser window.
OK, so following the instruction linked at the very first line of this post, I can put "[" followed by "img" followed by "]" followed by http://homepage.mac.com/pwagner650/Yosemite/IMG_2088.small.jpg followed by "[" followed by "/img" followed by "]" in my post to embed an image. Example:
http://homepage.mac.com/pwagner650/Yosemite/IMG_2088.small.jpg .
Ooo.... one thing I just learned right now: put a carriage return after your text and before your image. Looks much better.
Your other choice (also noted in the instructions linked in the first line) is to "created a named link." I'll let you figure that one out. However, I just noticed that if you just paste the complete address into your message, the board computer will pick it up and make it a link automatically.
Here are some examples of me just pasting in a web address (URL):
http://homepage.mac.com/pwagner650/Yosemite/IMG_2184.small.jpg
http://homepage.mac.com/pwagner650/Yosemite/IMG_2197.small.jpg
http://homepage.mac.com/pwagner650/Yosemite/IMG_2205.small.jpg
Here's one where the image URL is named:
Pika on Rock (http://homepage.mac.com/pwagner650/Yosemite/IMG_2143.small.jpg)
I hope this helps! Posting images to the board is a bit frustrating because it is really easy, but describing how to do it is strangely difficult.
One further note... that "preview reply message" button is very helpful. I select my entire post and "copy" it (control-C), then hit the button to take a look; hit the browser's back button to go back and make changes to your text. If something goes wrong, no problem: since you copied the text, create a new post and paste the text back in!
Sincerely,
Peter
