Hi,

I'd posted this question to the G2 group and saw that there were few comments respite several hits ... so I thought I'd post it to a wider audience !!

Anyways .. on to my question .. has anybody tried matching up the lighting and film speed settings in a G2 (or any other digital) camera to film based SLRs at the same ISO rating and focal length ??

I was wondering if the settings could be directly applicable.. thataway, I could shoot several pics with my G2, pick the image with the best exposure and plug those values into my SLR ....

Obviously, the ISO ratings usable will be 50 to 400 initially - but that should be more than enough for most situations and available filmspeeds....

any input is welcome .... If I will probably try this out the next time I go out and start shooting with my SLR (I use slide film mostly)... will let y'all know of the results ...

Best regards & Seasons Greetings !!

Hi Vinu,
as a profesional photographer I do it all the time. Before digital I used Polaroid and several lightmeters but now this is past .My slides are all 100% on without an effort. It is filmsaving(before we bracketed slides) and it is timesaving. It is obvious that it works easyer when the camera is on a PC monitor and specially with a good software with controls on over and underexposiour.
