New Digi Rebel coming?

I noticed that the XT/350D prices are being slashed dramatically right now, with discounts on top of a $100 rebate. You can get the body for $560 in a lot of places. Does this mean Canon is getting ready to announce a new digi Rebel in time for the 2007 shopping season? What's on the rumor mill these days?

I'm hearing a chassis redesign with a 2.5 LCD, but not much else. Wait, come to think of it, that's all it needs.
And I would expect to see it by August too.

if canon follows their 18 month release cycle, expect something similar to the 350D, upgraded in the same way the 20D went to the 30D. Probably with a slightly larger buffer, 3FPS, 2.5 inch LCD. Maybe a few other improvements, and a slightly larger or the same size of body. Probably expect it in Autumn/fall
