Here is another from a different angle. Same technique using channel mixer in PS. This time I have all the building. Would appreciate your comments. Is this better than the 1st attempt? I prefer it.

Martin.

The sky is darker that on the first shot, the contrast between the roof and the sky isn't very much visible. Perhaps by lightening the sky a bit and removing a bit from the left of the picture (about 1/10th).
But anyway I like these pictures.
You still didn't tell us where it is...

I prefer this shot over the previous as the rocks on the cliff work better then the bushes. The shape of the building is more pleasing too.

Also, I don't have an issue with the tone of the sky vs the bricks. I like the low contrast there.

The only issue I have on this fantastic shot is the white structures atop the chimney seem too bright for such a sombre looking building. They compeat with the windows for attention.

did you do any altering in PS, other than channel mixer??

It looks like you upped the contrast in the building and darkened the sky?

The edges of the building seem( i dont know) to indicate this. USM, sharpen????

A red filter would have corrected or rather achieved the above effect.

I still like the pic, and composition. the dark sky seperates the building with contrast which is great. im just wondering if there were any adjustments.

Very nice shot.

The only part i would change is the contrast between the sky and the roofline. Along the left rooftop it is hard to see the difference between the roof and the sky. Don't lighten the sky. i think it would look better if you darken the roof.
