More IR shots - what a surprise. :)

If you'd like to read more about this abbey have a look at this: http://www.castlewales.com/valle.html

Valle Crucis Abbey is in North East Wales, near Llangollen. Just as in the case of Tintern, the abbey was founded in a remote location particularly suitable for the Cistercian order. Valle Crucis was founded in 1201 but some rebuilding of the church was necessary after a mid 13th century fire.

Following the Dissolution of the Monasteries under Henry VIII, Valle Crucis gradually fell into decay. Fortunately, enough of the fabric remains to remind us of the spiritual aspirations of our forebears.

Thanks Trevor. There is also a delipidate house right next to the abbey (in the ground in fact) with the windows boarded up! Talk about preserving national heritage. :(

Thanks Dimitri. I guess in the 13th century this would have been a real hive of activity - not all of it good and holy though!
