My Gallery - first pics on POTN

Hello

I've been here a while but I am lazy. Anyway, I've finally done my website, and hope some people will leave C&C. I have sized the pics so that people with small monitors and bad resolutions can still see them - maybe they are too small? I will tweak it more as I add to it, add contact info etc, but anyway here it is:

I am not too sure about using Flash though. I have a long time hatred for flash.

Thanks! Yeah, I only chose the skin because I liked the clean spartan look of it, I can take or leave the flash animation to be honest....

it looks nice and your pictures are great, but I am not really liking the navigation with flash.. was getting really tired of the loading animation after a few clicks:)

Nice flash site - is that a standard template?

I tried some of the photoshop ones but they're not that good

Yeah that flash screen is the creator's name, not mine, its Bananalbum, a skin for JAlbum which is a free web gallery building program. Its very easy to use, and I chose that skin because it was the cleanest black one.

Well the search for a good free web album builder goes on. This week's contender is iWeb, it comes with iLife 06 (Mac only) which I installed this week.

Again I've chosen the cleanest black skin, and only used the photo page template and the blank page template for the front page. I didn't 'save for web' in photoshop this time and the image quality is much improved. The images do appear to be quite dark on a couple of monitors I checked it on at work, but they look fine on mine which is properly calibrated, so I don't know...
The biggest niggle is the actual image page being white background only, there are apparently more customizable bits if you have a .Mac account but it doesn't look like I'll be able to includ much information with each pic so ultimately I don't like it. Oh well, the search goes on...
