I have a tube type slide duplicator that
attaches to my Canon cameras like a
lens. I used it for the 1st time with my
Canon 10D. It works fine, but the 1.6
multiplier takes over. You can only copy
a portion of each slide. You cannot copy
a full slide. Is there a piece of gear that
will let you copy the whole slide? On
second thought, will the laws of physics
allow such a thing?

Slide duplicators don't attach to a lens, they attach as a lens.
I think this has been asked before but I can't remember if it was answered. You could try a search.

I have a slide duplicator that screw in front of the lens. It works well with a DSLR because you can choose your lens. You can see my setup here (http://www2.globetrotter.net/faaq/astroccd/ftp/tcollin/instrum/duplica-3.jpg)

These slide duplicators seem very hard to find now.

Take a look at this thread... I posted a link to a duplicator that would attach to the front of an existing lens, thus giving you full coverage on a 1.6 crop DSLR.

Still thinking of picking one up myself as an inexpensive alternative to a dedicated film scanner.
