Recently, I had to rebuild the Zoombrowser database. But after rebuilding it, I noticed that all of my previous AVI videos no longer showed a thumbnail of the clip in Zoombrowser. The .thm files still exist in the folders, just like before, but it's as if the .thm isn't linked to it's respective .avi anymore. Is there a way to re-link the two back up in the Zoombrowser database?

What exactly do you mean when you say, "I had to rebuild the Zoombrowser database"? I didn't know there was a database attached to Zoombrowser or that it even used any database. I can't find any reference to a database in my version of Zoombrowser. Sorry, but I must be missing something here.

But I'm going to take a stab at your question anywat...did you double check to make sure that the file name of the .thm file and the .avi file are the same and in the same folder?

My version of Zoombrowser (v3.1) does have a database, which I believe it uses to catalog all of the images as well as their thumbnails, EXIF info, and probably other info as well.

Every now and again, the database gets corrupt and has to be rebuilt. In fact, from the FILE menu, there's an option to rebuild the database, which essentially goes through all of your image folders and catalogs them again.

To answer your question, yes, the .thm and .avi files are in the same folder with the same names. In fact, I never touched them. They were fine, but then my database became corrupt, causing me to have to rebuild it. When it was doen rebuilding, those .avi files didn't have a thumbnail showing in Zoombrowser, only an icon for a video. From what I've read, it's the .thm file that contains a thumbnail fo the first frame of video as well as the videos EXIF info.

Thanks for the info. I have Zoombrowser EX V4.1 and it doesn't have a database like yours does. I wondering if yours is an older version. If so, maybe you can upgrade it to a later version which doesn't use a database if it's giving you a lot of problems with db corruption.

Anyway, sorry I can't help with your AVI and thumbnail problem. Hope you figure it out eventually.
