Enjoying my 10D, but I think I need to move up to the 'L' glass for a consistently sharper image. Where is the best place ($) to buy one.
www.bestpriceaudiovideo is the best I have found at $699. Is there anywhere better. Thanks in advance.

Looks like you've got a good price there.

I always check them first, never purchased but read nothing but good ratings. I also check prices @ B&H and Samy's camera.

I agree I had a bad experience with one of the Brooklyn places. they told me that the camera had shipped and in fact it was back ordered.I explained that I need the camera immediatly when I orderd it originally. Another trick is that they dont sell the entiere kit and aomtimes they a preselling goods that they don;t have in stock Adormma and BH are ok and make sure that it's not grey market.

I bought one from bestprice 3 weeks ago. They were out of stock when I ordered and told me it may be one to two weeks to get more in. One week later they shipped it. Lens was fine, USA and new, no issues. They were easy to talk to, no upsell of other stuff, appear to be a solid operation.

Pay little more and buy loacally. I am fed up of saving little and putting up with rude people on the phone. Then you may, just , just may be get your camera or the lens.
If I cannot get it locally, I get it at PCCONNECTION. Service and support there is excellent. The number is easy to remember 800-800-0004.
I do not work for PCCONNECTION, nor live near it, or even in the same country. (Canada)

You might be interested in some of the discussion under the thread titled 'Probability of 10D's autofocus failure' in this same forum. I'm the longwinded one, but there are other valid points of view, too.
