The ring with m/af switch mounts to the camera nice and tight. However, where the rest of the lens attaches to that ring (just barely on the camera side of the tripod collar) it is loose. Maybe about 1/32 inch circular movement (like when I zoom or m-focus) and just a little up and down and sideways movement. Does this sound normal for any of you that have this lens: Sigma 70-200 f2.8 EX??? Thanks!

I dont think this is normal. I just checked mine and it is rock solid. a trip to sigma sevice may be in order.

Thanks for checking. I called Sigma and that is what they said too. So it looks like I'm sending it off. This sucks because I really like using this lens. Anybody have any good or bad experience stories about sigma service?

Sigma Service?
I sent a Sigma lens to them, going out on Monday by UPS, coast to coast. They received it exactly one week later on Monday, and I had it back (repaired) three days later.

Wow! Can't complain about that. I take it cost was reasonable?
