View Full Version : Polorizing filter use and LCD hoods in A70

Since the viewfinder is not through-the-lens, one obviously has to use the LCD screen to adjust the polarization. The problem being that the screen washes out completely in the bright sunlight when I most want the polarization effect, rendering me unable to adjust it. Is a LCD hood the only solution to this problem? If so, is there a hood you suggest for the A70? Is there one that snaps on, or do you have to put sticky stuff on your camera?

You could easily learn the physics of the polarizer filter and then you can apply it to the situation at hand.
See http://www.cliffshade.com/dpfwiw/polarizer.htm for an indepth look at how you can quickly and easily know how to set your polarizer without through the lens feedback.

Your welcome. The site is good.
Good luck with the polarizer previsualization (until you get a hood for the LCD if you do get one...)
