I was out "chasing the sun" today and wound up near Attica, NY. The first is of the storm system I was following, and the second is right after it passed.

Nice work, the cloud formations in #1 are very nice, the sharpness and detail on both is also very good.

Love them both and now I don't feel so strange about *chasing the sun*. I ended up in Texas chasing a sunset.

Thanks to both of you. I, too, chased the sun to Texas! My heart pines for anything southwest. Living here in western NY is tough because we have overcast skies here for 5 to 6 months of the year.
Nice website, Bikerider! Looks like you are well versed in IR -- I'm fairly new to it, and am glad to finally find a way to take photos during our winter.

Both are lovely shots, but #2 is my favourite. I'm very tempted to give the IR photography a try. :)

Thanks for the compliment rbro, I really need to do an update on the site....I also need to get a camera converted to full-time IR.

Hi John (Rudgej), DEFINATELY give a try! I've seen your posts and you certainly have the talent. I never realized how beautiful Scotland was until I started looking at all the pics you and your friends are posting here. The IR technique will let you see things that you might have ignored previously. The DOF is absolutely amazing! I think we see an IR effect just before dawn, and just after sunset -- I basically think in the IR format when I do all my shooting now.

Very nice shots. The first one has some interesting color for IR. I think the second ones is the best of the two.

Thanks Ryan, I'll maybe buy a Cokin P-series filter next month and see how I get on. :)
