This image has been put through the Photoshop mill.
I quite like the results but I'd love to hear some C&C.

I like the "dreamy" look, and my only criticism would be that there is too much silhouette to the bottom right.

I would have to agree with John, it's just too dark in the bottom right corner. Apart from that I like the almost 3d look with the hills in the background:)

That diffuse glow kind of look works superbly with image IMHO,and the whole scene with the rugged hill and the shilluetted tree at the top corner makes it for a really good fg,i vote for it.
One thing, like the others said, too much black, covering a huge proportion of an otherwise stunning image,i tried a different crop Cameron, what do you think?

I'm going to jump off the bandwagon here and say that I like the original best. Yes there is a lot of black, but I find myself imagining what is just behind the hill. Just my opinion, but I think its a beautiful shot.

Lovely shot, Cameron. I don't find the dark foreground too offputting. The fact that its at an angle helps IMO :D

Who's been playing with their new computer then?

Thanks folks, I appreciate the kind words and suggestions.
I was a bit concerned with the amount of silhouette but felt it needed it to balance the image. Perhaps a bit too much though.

A slightly cropped version but still keeping the silhouette from the bottom left.

Some improvement, Cameron, but I still like the original. :)

I really like your second crop. I think leaving a bit of the shadow at the bottom left adds to the balance of the image.

I like both but the second crop is better. Lovely shot either way.

I like it but would like to see the un'pp'd version too! I expect that's pretty good!

I like the overall look of the original...but I'm having some trouble telling what I'm looking at in the distance!!

Seem to have missed this one too - boy you have been busy!
Hang on I seem to remember this! I like the image as it stands - the treatment in my eyes has worked really well the colour takes the eye straight to the detail and only then you are aware of the silhouetted shape of the foreground hill and tree.

You've done better than me I gave up on my shot! :(

I gave up to .....until I noticed this;

Back to my image.....what I like is the silhouette of the tree and hillside.
The background is a bit busy and has no real focal point, hence the blur effect.
I think, however, the blur effect may have had the opposite effect.
Viewers are striving to find what is in that area, really there is nothing.
I think Freddycr alludes to that.
Thanks for the input Freddy, I appreciate it.

Hmm !
A bit too much for a simple image. :?
