This is a two day meeting, Saturday and Easter Monday. I arrived early at Oulton Park and after sign-on made my way to Druids for the early qualifying sessions.
The Panoz in the warm-up session:

Well, on Monday we have all that lot, plus Caterhams. It will be another very busy and long day.

That Aston Martin looks superb! My only complaint is the amount of stickers on it, but I guess they pay the bills in racing.

I'll add a couple of extra shots. The day was very overcast with next to no sunshine. The upside was that I could work in areas at times you couldn't on sunny days, the downside is the flat lighting.
For our US readers:

And for the UK boys - A Ginetta running in GT, but not as you know it:

My money is a Senna to joing Rosberg in F1 next year or the one after. F3 is the stepping stone and he is already showing more than a little talent:

top stuff as ever Ken.
the F3s look surprisingly chunky after having Formula Fords burned into my brain. the 39 car at Lodge is stunning.

Another upaside to the day was very few incidents. This one was Jay Bridger going backwards into Lodge corner, kissing the armco and digging up JP's grass. He swung the car around and continued.

Can't get enough of those historics Ken. That Ginetta GT looks the job. How did it go on the day? I've always liked the Ginettas - very photogenic cars IMHO and generally provide some 'entertaining' racing.
Cheers,
Simon.

It comes out for Silverstone, Thruxton and sometimes Knockhill. It just isn't flexible enough for me being so close to the racing. I like the 300 with the choice of TC's to give me the best of all worlds. I shot some with stacked TC's yesterday morning just for a bit of fun. If I took the 500 then that would be my shortest prime.
If I did more bikes, then I think the 500 would get more use - they are smaller and give fewer problems filling the frame.

Simon, the Ginetta boys were well behaved. However, I think Monday will be entertaining as it is forecast for drizzle. They were really pushing it through Old Hall and that's not a good idea in anything but dry conditions and warm tyres. It is easy to head off into the tyre wall on the outside or over-correct and spear the tyre wall on the inside. I have had more near misses there than anywhere else at Oulton Park.

Hi Ken, Great shots I've been driving GT style cars for years on and off and now getting into the photographic side of the sport, These shots are crisp as you would expect from someone of your talent. I've just purchased a 500f4 to go with my 1D'S Mk 11 so things can only get better hopefully... Keep the pics coming.
P.S. If you can help with getting me the other side of the fences that would be great

Top quality as we've come to expect :)
I never get tired of that angle with the Lodge in the background, it always looks great whatever the subject.
As for Bruno Senna, after today i definitely agree with you Ken. He's come on a lot since last season and looked a class above today. Uncle Ayrton would be proud.

The Vento in #4 has a loose fender. :D
I like the Aston in #5, but which model/year is it?
