Ok, maybe this is obvious but I'm having a hard time. When working with my image - either 8 bit TIFF or JPEG, and I want to crop it I click on "IMAGE", but it won't let me click on "CROP".
What do I need to do to use the crop tool? I don't want to simply use "Image Size". Thanks and sorry if this is the stupid question of the day!

Using the dotted square tool, choose a desired square. Then Alt IP.

I want to be able to specify height and width, and/or ppi though. Why can't I access the "crop" tool?
Thanks.

Thanks - how do you get the tool bar at the top that will let you enter in your own values for width/height, etc?

Thanks for your patient help - I figured it out! Open image, and press "c". I can then enter my values.

When you select the "crop" tool, the settings will appear in the upper right, with the navigator pallet.
It's a small arrow, listed as tool settings or preferences.
