I appologyse for my Newbee stupidity but there are 2 things which are very similar that I am trying to do with Correl Photo shop but just dont seem to be able to manage.

The first thing I want to do is simply cut out a picture of my camper Van from its surroundings and place it on another background kind of "pop art" style. At the moment I am trying to cut around free hand and it is proving very frustrating.

The second thing in a wedding photo I took of the bride I would like to make the pictur B&W or Sepia but leave her eyes Blue.

I think these are similar problems with a similar answer and really hope it is simple to do.

Thanks
Richie

They are very similar issues. All to do with selecting an area and using layers. See if you have a 'magnetic' selection tool as that will make things like selecting the edge of the van much easier.

For the brides eyes thing a simpler solution is select the whole image, copy it to a new layer, and then make the new top layer b/w. Now zoom in on the eyes, get a erase brush and delete them so you can see the color eyes on the layer below.

Hope that helps

BTW, Corel PhotoPaint uses "Objects" instead of the word "Layers," but they are the same thing. Can't remember if there is a magnetic selection tool or not...

Or did you mean Adobe Photoshop?
