Hi all - a local high school in Texas wants to purchase some Canon equipment for their year book staff. Does anyone know who/how to get Canon to help sponser / discount a 10D w/sports lens / flash package??
Basic equipment for high school sports photos??
Thanks, Ray
(tried the local Canon Rep... no help at present)

I doubt Canon would help a high school, but I suspect calling up the higher levels would help more. An alternative might also be a local camera shop (or other business, since you probably don't need very many. In return for the equipment now, promise them an advert. in the school yearbook (if you can).
Also, for High School I would think the Digital Rebel Kit will be a better package. It would also be 1/3rd the cost for a minimal set of the 300D w/18-55 and the 55-200. Verus a 10D with 24-70/2.8L and 70-200/2.8L that would be more useable for high school sports. In either case you will probably want the 550EX for the flash.
Just my thoughts and opinion,
