Hey, does anyone have the problem where their 10D camera serial number rubs off really easily. I have only had my 10D since July and I cannot quite make out all of the numbers anymore. If I were to lightly rub my finger across the decal, the black ink from the serial numbers comes right off? Is the serial number recorded somewhere else on the camera body where this could not happen?
Thanks.

Mine is completely gone! I think it shows on the exif info, plus it should still be on the box.

mcouper,
You are correct on both accounts. Glad to know that it is not just my camera that has this problem with the serial number disapearing.
Thanks.

After long studies on this issue it has been determined that the cause of the missing serial numbers is due to owners who refuse to quit cuddling their new 10D cameras.
If you can not put away the camera when it is time to go to bed then it is recomended that you seek professional help right away.

i find that mine seems to like a nice glass of warm milk after a long day of shooting (otherwise the focus gets rather "sleepy")

Dear DigitalCanon,
Thanks for your research. However, will the sticker on which the serial was printed eventually disappear? And should that be taken as a warning sign? Just how far did you go (in your "research, that is)?!
