After being convinced by Tim I decided to let go of constant lights and go with a nice set of flash units I decided the Sigma’s would be the most bang for the buck. I was thinking about using one on camera, and the other off to the side, will this cause any issues with lighting? I plan on using diffusers or reflectors depending on which ever is needed. Also where can I find a tripod to mount these? Are there tripod adapters I need or anything. Lastly any reading material you guys/gal would recommended about E-TTL II and Sigma. Thanks for all the help every one, and Tim thanks for helping me out before.

I have this same flash and its great. It ranks up with the Canon 580EX for half the price. As for tripod stuff, it comes with a stand which has a tripod ring for it so you can mount it on about any tripod.

As already stated above, they have a little stand with them that has a tripod mount on it :) The flashes are a great bang for the buck! I originally purchased mine as a hold over until Canon came out with the 580EX, but ended up liking it enough not to bother with a 580, lol. The 580EX are a tad bit better build quality (or atleast feel like it, hard to if actually do) but the Sigma hold up just fine and work great!

Great GREAT news .. I'll be ordering mine in a few days. I'll have one mounted on my camera, and the other mounted on the tripod. I'll carry the tripod on the outside of my camera bag and the 2 flash units inside. My portable studio is coming together great.

I also have 2 sigma 500 supers, and use as you are planning. I bounce the on-camera one off the ceiling or wall to avoid straight-on flash and use the other to add a 3-d look and lighten up shadows.

Anybody knows if its possible to combine the wireless flash system Canon/Sigma ? Will the work together (i.e. triggered by the ST-E2 for example, or by a 580) ?
