I've bought the a60. I am very happy with it.
I've read the manual /software instructions, but still got a couple of questions.

1. Is it not possible to upload files from pc to camera?

2. Is my conclusion right that the only difference between the 'night shot'mode and 'slow shutter'mode is the use of flash?

3. In witch setting does the camera in ' Stitch mode' operate ? Auto?

4. About the Photostitch software: Why can't I get the whole made view ? Only a selection.
There are some white gaps up en down the panorama view. So even when I drag the green lines, I can't get far enouhg, or I will get white gaps..

1) You can upload files, but ZoomBrowser won't upload files that have been computer modified. Use a CF card reader to upload modified files.

You can also upload a new startup photo and sounds to your camera by using ZoomBrowser.

2) Sort of. The only difference is that Night Mode will have a longer exposure to allow the background to 'catch up' to the flash part of the exosure. Flash is on auto for both I do believe.

3) I believe it is auto.

4) The white sections will be cropped out by the program when you go to save. I believe you can adjust the frame yourself just before saving. (It's been awhile since I stitched photos.)

1) Zoom browser does actually let you upload modified images, i used photoshop. I had trouble to start with, but evenatualy i clicked [resize to .....] instead of "Add image as". I used some of the canon software in the process to get the image in a canon readable format, but in the end i don't think that was the reason why it didn't.

Its possible, but the exact steps i'll find out next time i mod an image. You do loose all the exif data though.

2) Never looked into it, my asumtion was that night mode was for night an slow mode was for day. As to the fine detail like stopbath, dunno.

3) This i just went an checked out, it might be auto, but its similar to the other modes around it. Its got the ISO and the eval taken out, like landscap,e portrat, night, slow etc, and even the movie so i must be wrong.

4) Whats happened there is to fit the picture in nicely, its had to drag parts up or down, and leaves a big white space where there no image. It does a calculation as to fitting in the most amount of picture without the white, thats the green line. You can drag it over, but you will get what you see and thats the white space.

My question is, if you do a panoramic shot of a dead white wall, could photostich ever have a probelm because it white like the background mixing with the white shot and deciding whats in and out. Would be hard to get it exactly FFFFFF unless eddited in photoshop, but just a though.

aha! now I will understand.
So..is the conclusion right that the more accurate, stabile ( mostly in height) you take the shots, the more view you can can out of the result panorama foto?

Yes, in stitch mode, you are given the 'previous' shot to help line the shots up. Take care to keep the horizon level.

If you want to bother, use a tripod with a swivel head (there are panarama head available) to help keep things even.

No matter how much i try, mine always go all over the joint at the end. I think it does over stretch things some times, but i should use a tri-pod sometime.

Check your stitch program settings. I did a 360 degree stitch that ended up at almost nothing at the end. I corrected the type of stitch setting (to panarama), and it worked out great.
