I marvel at the New Yorkers that go on bike. It is so dangerous. But I went on the subway with all my shopping and that was interesting, getting through all the traffic of people. Great shots, just a little dark on the first one. Did they know you were shooting them, Pio?

I like the 1st photo the women look totally whipped and the sign from the phone store adds a bit irony.
Nice job

I like the first one as well. What sort of conversion are you using?

Thanks Suzy! Actually if you know what you're doing, cycling in NYC is quite safe. Just gotta have those street smarts. Now that you said it, yes the first one indeed seems a bit dark. I guess I wanted to bring out the detail a bit and darkened the whole bit in doing so. Yes, they did saw me. I was walking, stopped a bit, got off a quick shot, smiled at them and was off before they realized what happened. I think they were too tired to care :) Thanks for looking!
Incidentally, I am in Maryland again, and will be playing tourist guide for some visiting relatives. I will be heading into DC tomorrow - is there a good place where I can park for the better part of the day? There's 7 of us, and I figure it would be cheaper to bring the van into DC rather than pay the Metro fare for all of us. What do you think?

Yeah, lots of people especially with this nice weather we are enjoying! The Puerto Rican Day should be fun I agree :)

Thanks Gerhard! Yes they were tired. Good eye about that sign.

Thanks Cactus! I used FM plug in (thanks for the heads up Sean!), supplemented by a bit of dodging and burning in strategic places :)

Hey Pio, we should have met up that Saturday! My cousin and I were in Manhattan for the whole day, from 11:00am to sunset at 7:00pm. We walked about Times Square and Central Park. We've been going there for the past three weeks and are coming back this Saturday for some more shooting, just can't get enough of NYC!
Some great shots here by the way. They really work in my eyes. Seems like you aren't having the same problems as I am of being discreet.

Thanks Chris! About taking shots of people, just slap on that wider lens and just take pictures while walking down a street. Most won't care (after you walk away), and about the worst you can get is bing shouted at, which I doubt will happen very often.
