Better late than never ;) here are some of my shots from the SBD Sprint at Croft on Easter Monday, as you can see it started out a bit moist but got out nice and bright in the afternoon and I've even got a red face from the sun this morning  Managed to avoid all the usual suspects (or perhaps they were avoiding me:lol:)

All shots taken with 1DMKII and EF300mm F2.8 lens

I think most of we usual suspects were elsewhere Ian. The Porsche is doing what they all do hard pushed into a bend and a nice shot it is too. The Golf needs his suspension sorting.

I see you were at ISO100 which I find does some very strange things to the dynamic range. I am thinking of using a drop-in gel ND for the 300 for when it gets too bright (some chance of that). I picked up a couple of spare carriers at a shop in Guildford last year for a fiver each, so a 2 and 4 ND sounds like a good way of using them.

Great dynamics in the images Ian. My pick of the bunch would be the Porsche - super angle. It was really interesting to watch the bikes in the complex as they all seemed to take a different line and had a vastly different style. Some looked like speedway riders or grasstrackers.

Interesting to note what Ken says about iso100. I really wanted to experiment a bit using iso settings to alter depth of field but I couldn't really get off 100 all day.

Nicely done Ian. A very dynamic selection.

Nice shots Ian, and sorry I missed you on Monday. I kept my eyes open for you, but I didn't even see your car until you passed me at the end of the day. I assumed that you hadn't been able to make it after the Email you sent me. I started off down at Sunny, moved down to Clervaux working my way around to the Chicane and then back to Clervaux until the lunch break. Then walked back up to the inside of the triangle before crossing the track and heading up to Tower. Bloomin' wind was a right pain all day.

Cheers,

Simon.
