I am surpised no one has commented.
You have some interesting shots. I like the feel of the first image the best. Even though it is back lite you can still see the drivers face.
I would suggest for the second image openning you lens up. You have a busy background, so you need to distort it.
The last image is done well, the sticks infront of the riders face are distracting, but still an alright image.

holy molly... I completely missed these! I absolutely love the low angle on that first shot. It is truely an angle only a passionate photographer would go for.... very nicely executed. I also like the white horse coming over the large log. I have yet to do a trials meet, but it is on the short list of events I would love to try.
Thanks for posting... and thanks to Sporto for finding this and pull it back up to the top... cheers.

Hey. Can you share your EXIF info please & focusing modes? I do a bit of horsey stuff myself and am often undecided about AIservo or focus locking on the jump. I love your first shot. Where were you standing?

First shot is excellent really good low angle and good feeling of action. Composition is excellent where you naturally look where she is going...water coming off the horse is a bonus. Super shot....:)

Just looked at the rest in the gallery and No. 11 is excellent too..I was at one of these events in Ireland recently and until it started raining I was at the water for about an hour. Shots with water I think look very dynamic...

Those are great, and I also like #1 the best...very cool angle and can feel the speed from those hooves kicking up the dirt. I haven't even used the ai servo yet, does that make a big difference?

These are great shots. #3 would be my favorite without the branches.

I really like the third shot, with the horses hooves looking as though they're touching the "barrier". Nice work.

Strong work, 1 has a great sorta derby feel to it, the angle you shot 2 from really draws you into the pic and I happen to like the way the branches frame the face in 3.

No 1 is a superb capture.:)
I love the tight crop in no 3 as well. I agree about the DOF in the second.
