Liked your artistic approach.
I particulary like number 14, which shows how capable 10D is.
Number 20 is very interesting. I would have chosen f11 or 16, but that is a matter of personal preference. Is this a cropped image or the original? In the latter case, the center of the image is not as sharp as the letters on the right side. Could it be back focusing? The camera angle and the wall provide a perfect test for focusing problems. If your focus had been on the vertical column of letters, no problem. Enjoyed your pics, not having been to Ellis Island.

Number 20 was cropped a small amount on the right side to get a 5x7 framed shot. If I recall correctly I was focused directly on the column of names that was sharply delineated. No focus problems. Mostly I was having some fun
Thanks for the input.

Thanks for sharing these. I have never been to Ellis Island either. Quite variety of shots here from artistic to point-n-shooters. Looks like you did have fun there and the photos show that.
I'd love to have a day with those artifacts behind that glass. It so ruins photo-ops when they place items like this -- out of need and away from public abuse -- behind glass and locked doors. I snicker at your 'rookie' catch yourself in the glass shot. And I can say that 'cause I've been there, done that too. ;)
Keep them shots coming!!

Thanks for your comments. On a technical point, perhaps you can suggest how to avoid those reflections of myself in the glass. The artifacts were in cubicles with wood sides and glass fronts. I had to limit my angle to the side to capture the shot. My flash was pointed at the ceiling to diffuse light over the scene. Other then a circular polarizer, which I didn't have with me, how would you suggest I alter the process? Thanks in advance.
