i was back at home over easter and chatting to sailing friends.

one of them has a friend in canon and let slip that canon are dropping their price quite drematicaly in or over the summer !!!!!!!!

could be very interesting if this is true.... L range hear i came

i really do hope it is true im looking to get asecond hand 20d in the very near future and would love to get some decent lenses for it if th e prices do drop.

like i said earlier it was a passing comment through a friend of a friend so its not set in stone but fingers crossed

Prices are always dropping soon.

SLR priced DSLRs has got to happen some day, but it'll surely be a slow approach - like the computers have done. Bodies have always fallen and Lenses have been their little money-makers. Surely; they'll keep charging as long as we keep paying. What possible motivation would they have for suddenly cutting their finest lens prices?

Well this is one rumour that was true... at least in Australia. The price on glass, particularly "L" glass did indeed drop and quite dramatically.
