i just got an canon a70 and this camera is amazing, i was just wondering if there's anyway you have the camera take multiple shots without manually holding down the shutter button, like press it once and take multiple shots?

Yes, very easily.

If you're in Auto mode, switch to Program (P).

Press the Function button, go down two items to the 'Drive' setting. Press the right button once to choose the multiple shot mode (icon looks like a stack of photos). Press the Function key again to exit the menu, and hold the shutter button down.

Are you saying press once let go and it will take 10 photos? or press and hold down for the length of 10 photos?

The first is a no, only got the 10 second timer to do 1 shot.

Tyhe second is a yes and read the post above, well u probally did before u got this far.

Duh.... I guess I didn't read your question very carefully before replying... sorry ;).

As said before... the answer is no, you have to hold the shutter button.

Actually, there is a way, although u can only take one every 5 seconds, and from memory about 3-5 shots in total. The other draw back is that you have to be connected to your pc witha USB cable, lucky for this i have a 5mtr one.

Using remote capture there is a way to do just that, hit [take] and it will take a few photos for you.
