Posting Pictures on the Internet

How do you take the file down from its 2 or 3 meg size that comes out of the 10D. What is the appropriate size for the web?

Open it in Photoshop and reduce the size. Alt I, I, and look at the dimension. Reduce one dimension to 1/4 of the original. The new file size will be 1/16. Is that enough? If not, choose 1/5, which will reduce it to 1/25 of the original.
