For all those who have sent your Camera in for service, please post the total days it took to get your equipment back, as well as what your issue was.

thanks

I too would like to know the turn-around time. I have a 10d with a dust covered sensor which I AM going to try and clean myself as soon as my pec-pads arrive.

I also have the 28-135 usm lens with a blurry spot on the left side of the lens.

I'm debating wether or not I should send it.

Thanks,

Rob

Once I had acquired all the lenses that I thought I would need I took my 10D into Canon and had them calibrate them to the camera. I took in 6 lenses and had my camera back in four days. That was in Montreal.

There seems to be quite a few users which are having problems with dust on the sensor. I change lenses several times each day and have not had a serious problem. I clean my sensor with a light brush and blower. I took it into Canon the first time and the techie there showed me how to do it. Perhaps I've just been lucky. Sure I get the odd dust spot that shows but nothing serious that I can't clone out in Photoshop.

48 Days (includes 3 days shipping from Hawaii and overnight shipping back). They say it was a bad shutter (backordered part was explanation for long turn-around). Recurring "Err 99" that would not clear unless I took a flash picture is what caused me to send it in. (See my earlier post "Canon has my 10D"
