I have seen wierd things in my pictures, but this takes the cake.

I don't think this is a problem with RAW PS, but rather something that happened in the camera....cause it won't go away no matter what I do to the exposure.

Seems to be a damaged file. Try to recover it from your memory card.

Wow. Looks like a file that didn't quite save all the way. I've seen this phenomenon in thumbnails, but never on a RAW file. Was it the last in a servo series? (not sure if I'm saying that right...) I mean, did you take a bunch of shots at once? Maybe this one didn't finish saving?

Weird... Hopefully you won't see it again!

Ooh! Good call. I bet you're right: It probably got corrupted in the transfer between mem card and computer.

Either that, or hopefully your CF card is bad (cuz that's easy to replace!). I'd hate to think the camera had anything to do with it.

Someone's bad interpretation of the US flag.

Yep, corrupt file that didn't complete the write process.

That's the thing. I wasn't shooting on burst or continous mode...and I was just shooting, intermitantly, then I had a LOT more after that, that turned out fine, it's in the middle.

So is the CF card already formatted? If so, I think SanDisk makes some recovery software... If you've already written to the card, you may be out of luck...

If the CF card is still full, try the transfer again.
