Hello everyone,

DEEP THOUGHTS! :p

Today, with the help of this forum, my mind has been wisked away to Australia, Hong Kong, India, Finland, and different locations here in North America. I have been the guest to what many people around the world feel are important-- their families and their hobbies. I have seen pictures of their beloved daughters, wives, and pets. (not sure why there were no husbands:D)

All of a sudden I was struck with a feeling of gratitude to everyone who contributes to the forum. When traveling to a new area it is always best to have a local friend quide you to the "real places". Likewise, I feel that I have "experienced" many places around the world that I will not ever see with my own eyes through the photos of those who live there.

These deep thoughts may be brought on by the coming of the new year or maybe because it is 5 degrees outside and I am a prisoner in my own home.

Whichever it is, I appreciate this forum and hope anyone who is bored enough to read this message to this point will post a photo which lets me visit your part of the world.:)

Yes, I agree! Remember *before* the internet ? It seems wierd to picture (excuse the pun) life without it now !
And for anyone who can tap into DSL service, it is worth it!
Have a great week !

Very well stated, Eric. I, too, have a hard time remembering where some of these folks live and can't imagine I may get my feet wet just to visit.

I have learned some valuable lessons about homo-sapiens; we really are all alike regardless of our environment or the country in which we live. Someone in China, for instance, can post an image that moves me the same way it moved them. This is great fun!;)
