post processing raw?

What more can you do with raw in photoshop and how do you do it? When I open a jpeg or a raw, i'm not noticing a difference in menu options.

Dear Joanna,

I am not sure what you mean when you say "a difference in menu uptions". When you open a RAW file in PhotoshopCS or CS2 you are actually in Adobe Camera RAW - probably version 3.3 or 2.4, and there is no menu. The controls in ACR consist of drop down list boxes, sliders, checkboxes and command buttons.

You should think of ACR as a program separate from PSCS. When you leave ACR and return to PSCS v8.0, the processed image will still be in memory and you can save the image in any of the available formats and then continue with any further editing in PSCS.
