With respect to Canon 10D workflow, can someone please explain to me which is better to have, Imatch or the BreezeBrowser? Or do any of you kind folks use other 'best of breed' image utilities?

Any opinions would be appreciated.

Those in the know swear by Capture One. £100 in UK!!

iMatch is primarily for image cataloguing, whereas BreezeBrowser is primarily for raw image conversion. There is overlap of function, but they are not mutually exclusive programs.

I use both BreezeBrowser and Capture One DSLR LE as suggested by abwhitt. I prefer ThumbsPlus www.cerious.com to iMatch.
