Well I just did 10 games in 8 days in 3 states twice visited so thought I'd post a few pics. I tried a lot of things I learned on here from others so any thoughts, good or bad, please share them. Mainly wondering how they look color wise...too dark/light...etc. but any critisism, comments or suggestions welcome. Also sorry for the "Do Not Copy" but I see my pics in to many stadiums from people taking them and printing them for autographs.

No photoshop, just cropped and resized for posting.

Hey Mike... nice shots. Particularly like the way the individual shots turned out... looks like you had natures difuser working for you. I also like\prefer the stadium as the background. Very appropriate. The other thing I like was that you were coming up to f4 when shooting. This is a trend I am finding myself using more - shooting f3.2 or f4, particularly with pitchers to keep them all in focus when they are fully extended. Nice examples.... thanks for sharing.

very nice... I'm really starting to like everything I'm
seeing from the sigma 120-300.

Hey Mark, thanks for the comments. For those individual shots I did have a perfect overcast so there was no harsh shadows. I probably should have posted some with the harsh shadows as well, try to do that soon to give examples of all different weather conditions.

I used to set my shutter priority at 1/1000 and just let it be, but now am finding going f4 and below is best. With all the settings I've tried f4 is the best in most situations as the Sigma seems kind of weak at low f/stops. 3.5 also seems pretty good. I've been debating for awhile now to get the straight 300 2.8 Canon but would hate to lose the range of the 120-300....and all the money in my bank account.

Thanks for the comment. It really is a good lens with greattttt range, the only thing I don't like is its kind of weak at low f/stops (I hear that's the problem with Sigma's, sometimes you get a perfect one and sometimes you get a dud). However, for the money it's a great lens.

Thanks for responding. The 50mm 1.4 is hit and miss, when it's on its AMAZING, when it's off its horrible. I always do the focus point on the guys face and sometimes it will pick something else and focus on that for some reason (bat, hands, etc) which leaves the face blurry being such a low DOF. I've heard about that happening a lot with this lens so if anyone has one please share your experiences with it. I hate having to take 3-4 portraits of a guy to get one right. Most guys have been fine about it so far so it's been ok, but I know someone is going to be all pissy about it someday.
