Greg's '68 Cuda has an .040" over 440 engine at 12:1 compression. It has a 930cfm carb, roller cam, Tubular Automotive headers (Very nice!), a 727 Turbo trans, & Dana 60 4.88 rear end. The hood & front end are fiberglass.

This is a very pretty car. He's worked on it since 1993 & it shows. It took a year to prepare it for the $4,000+ paint job & you can't see a ripple anywhere.

black is always beautiful and you caught it so well in the shots Frank
I hadn't realised it was quite so low at the back
seeing your last photo it's a surprise

again I am reminded of my father for some reason
he had a black car and these type of cars remind me of it , and him
not the low back though
and I see it is low at the back looking at your first shot again
I had not noticed that when I looked at them first

lovely shots and car

That is a nice paint job.
I don't know what it is about the rear end of a hot car...very nice.
Nice shots. :)

I like everything about it except for the hood scoop - it's just too big and ugly.

Great shots of this beautiful car Frank, I want that engine for my Dodge! The headers are artwork, very well made.......the scoop just looks big because of the faultless paintwork, the refelction is a mirror image. The mill certainly won't be short of breath though lol.

I don't know what it's called but if it's what I think it is (what you are talking about )
I think they look dreadful too
I only ever saw them here on these cars

can't figure them out at all

otherwise..... beautiful car

...that hood scoop is HUGE. I've never cared for that version, either. But for me, any 'Cuda is better than none!

Now, if you want HUGE, remember the Willys? (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v218/PhotosGuy/Samples%20-%20Rides/37-Willys_RT_013.jpg)

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I understand your shooting at car meets, but have you ever thought about photographing the car somewhere other than a parking lot? Like actually take it out on location somewhere. The location doesnt do the car justice and because of this the pics dont do the car justice. Just way too many distractions and i find myself looking at the signs of the stores in the distance more than i do the car. It seems like to me the paying customers wouldnt mind driving a couple miles away to find a fitting location for the car since they have already put so much money into the car in the first place.

maybe there'll be less distractions if there's a "studio" background placed there.

Just way too many distractions and i find myself looking at the signs of the stores in the distance more than i do the car. Sorry about the distractions! 1st, I take them 'cause I like to, & 2nd I post them 'cause we have members who are never going to see them in real life, & 3rd I try to promote something other than the "High-Noon-In-Sunshine" shots that we see so many of. A few Car Lighting Tips (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=70290) It seems like to me the paying customers wouldnt mind driving a couple miles away to find a fitting location for the car since they have already put so much money into the car in the first place.
Ah, yes. Those are the magic words! Pay the rate & I'll do most anything you want. (Major photo-whore!) :D
Thing is, a lot of these guys are used to driving next to a wall & getting a 8X10 for $20? (Then they tell me about the set of lifters they spent $300 on & the $4000-$20,000 paint job?)
;)
