Does anybody know if it is possible at all to download the movie files in the pc? Maybe I missed something in the instructions.
Also - the sound quality is not so great. Hoe does one achieve best results?
Thank you and a hapy new year,

The movies that the Powershot G2 makes have the extension .avi. I use Apple's Quicktime to view them. That works great!
It sounds like you want each individual frame from the movie. Sorry I can't tell you the answer to getting a frame out of a .avi file. I'm not even sure it's possible. I can tell you a method for getting a paused frame out of the movie though. Just play the movie in Quicktime then pause the movie where what you want to copy to a file. Press the Ctrl key and the Print Screen key at the same time then press the Alt key and the Print Screen key at the same time. Bring up the application Paintbrush that comes with Windows. Click on edit then paste. Select YES and the entire computer screen image will pop into your Paintbrush application. You can then cut the image out of the Paintbrush image then click File/New then click NO then do an Edit Paste then save the file to either .bmp or .jpg or .gif format. Sounds long, but is really short, simple, easy and costs nothing versus using a screencapture program.

Back again with another suggestion. If you use Quicktime Pro you have the File/Export option. This allows you to export an image from whereever you pause the movie. You also can export the entire movie as a sequence of images.
