it may just be my untrained eye but the pictures are a bit on the soft side, is it because you used a stock lens?

I actually now have a 17-85 IS, not sure what went wrong :(
I had never shot indoors before really, so that may be part of it

it's in Irvine, not sure how you get to go on the tour, I just got a phone call from a friend. Camera's are allowed but there are certain areas where they are not. :)

Nice shots. Thanks for sharing these. I think I will plan a trip that way this summer.

Its a pity its now out of production, the Monaro was a good car especially the HSV coupe 4 version

I like the first shot. Did you do any post processing? the shots do look soft. Did you shoot raw?

no processing (don't know photoshop, except how to resize and occasionally hit the autocorrect, which I rarely use). Not shot in raw

Get a copy of free RSE & shoot some RAW next time. You've got a good cam, so think of it as fine tuning on the dyno? ;)

Also, some (or a lot) of the softness can be coming from the downsizing processes. RAW or shot normal, softening of images will happen when you reduce them.
Looks like a fun tour. Nice cars too. Too bad they never really came into their own on the ALMS circuit.
Cheers.

Nice shots. This is one of the fastest posts I've ever seen (all the cars in it I mean).

Thanks for the tips guys, i've been trying to find time to learn photoshop, even bought a few books, but they were all to textbooky and confusing. :(
I'm a stoner, I don't have patients for that stuff, haha ;)
